Therapy for teens and young adults
It can feel overwhelming when you’re stuck and unsure of which way to go
You’ve noticed that things aren’t going well. Maybe it’s the constant overwhelm from schoolwork, growing isolation from friends and family, or tension and fighting in the home. Maybe it’s the late night scrolling, or feelings of being lost or unmotivated.
This stage of life, with so much change and uncertainty about the future, can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re a parent watching your teen struggle, or a young adult finding your way in the world—it’s hard to know where to turn for help.
Maybe you’re a parent of a teen who…
Struggles to make or keep friends and is feeling isolated
Seems unmotivated and distracted, struggling with procrastination and grades at school
Is withdrawing socially from friends and family
Feels stressed about college admissions, and is having a hard time coping
Is arguing more often, or shutting down when you try to talk
Says you “just don’t get it”
Maybe you’re a young adult who…
Is overwhelmed by the pressures of school or work
Feels stuck trying to navigate adulthood, relationships, and what’s next
Struggles with anxiety or depression, using social media, drinking, or smoking to cope
Feels like you aren’t good enough, constantly comparing yourself to others
Is having a hard time with motivation
Wants support and someone to talk to about what’s really going on
You don’t have to navigate this all alone — we can figure out what’s next together.
how we’ll work together
We’ll shape a path that reflects who you are, not what others expect from you
I know that being a teen or young adult comes with many challenges—pressures to succeed, questions about identity, fitting in at school, complicated relationships. We’ll create a space where we can get to know each other, be real, and talk about what matters to you. One of my teen clients liked to call me his “non-judgmental therapist”. I mean it when I say that all of you—your questions, your dreams, your worries—is welcome.
I’ll help you make sense of the things you’re struggling with, and will adjust my approach to suit what works best for you. Sometimes I’ll ask questions to help you reflect on your situation, or offer practical tools and suggestions, or share activities to explore your experience through body sensations and feelings. Whatever the process looks like, I’m here to support you in better understanding yourself and making choices that align with who you want to be.
