Meet Deanna Loh, AMFT
A space for you to land, explore, and find real change
I’m an Oakland-based therapist offering virtual sessions across California. I work with teens and adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, EMDR, and somatic therapy.
You’re here because you’re feeling stuck—and that’s exactly where our work can begin
I work with teens and adults who…
Want relief from past experiences and trauma that have caused emotional pain for many years
Feel burned out and overwhelmed trying to balance work or school, family and friends, and new stages of life
Find themselves in the same frustrating relationship dynamics over and over again
Feel the weight of anxiety and/or depression affecting their relationships, health, and ability to just be
Are in the middle of a big life change and feel unsure about the future
Want more fulfilling relationships, but have trouble expressing their needs without fear
Are ready to go deep and experience a positive difference in themselves
Get to know me better
I’m here to support you in your healing process
Before becoming a therapist, I held enterprise customer-facing roles in consulting and tech companies. However, my heart has always been in learning about communication, relationships and facilitation, and I became a therapist to align my time and energy with that which brings greater meaning to me. I’m ready to embrace all that you bring—even the messy parts—and consider it a privilege to work with you and support you in your growth.
I tailor my approach to meet your needs—whether that’s slowing down to notice what’s happening in your body, exploring patterns of thought and behavior, or applying modalities like EMDR, Hakomi somatic therapy, or Internal Family Systems parts work. Whatever the process looks like, I’m here to help you step into a more empowered, connected, and authentic life.
All parts of your identity are welcome here, including those you’re still exploring. I bring my perspective as a second-generation immigrant, Chinese American cis-woman, and have had the privilege of supporting clients from various communities, including families, BIPOC, immigrant, neurodivergent, ENM, kink, and LGBTQIA+.
